Listed are only selected most important projects from various domains. During my study and work on the Department of Robotics I have for example created simper control applications also for other mobile robots not mentioned here, or participated on other research activities and grants.

RoboSim

RoboSim is a mobile robots simulator created during my Ph.D. study. I'm still making some modifications and improvements on it.

The system focuses on operator-controlled mobile robots and thus stress is laid on simulation of the camera subsystem and physics of driving in terrain.

Robot Hercules

Mobile robot Hercules is a prototype of a reconnaissance and emergency robot serving mainly for research tasks and for practical verification of various subsystems.

My work consised mainly of developing three applications (2 server and 1 client) that allow full remote control of the robot by an operator.

Robot Hardy

Robot Hardy

Mobile robot Hardy is a prototype of a multipurpose service, emergency and rescue robot capable of manipulation with very heavy objects and fire extinguishing.

Robot Ares

Robot Ares

Mobile robot Ares is a modular tracked robot which can be equipped with various extensions, e.g. a manipulator arm, destruction system (water jet), system for fluids sampling etc.

Cartridge container

Semiautomatic cartridge container

Multipurpose manipulator system of a cartridge container is a system allowing semiautomatic loading and unloading of cartridges (boxes) on a special container.

My task was to create control logic and to design and build a control system based on PLC, including the selection of HW components.

Adaptive lighting systems

Adaptive lighting systems

Adaptive lighting systems for motor vehicles was a project focused on automatic control of car headlamps using cameras.

My task was to implement, test in practice and improve few algorithms for detection of wet road and rear lamps of other cars.

Game Accelerometer

PC game Accelerometer

„Accelerometer” is a working title of a simple computer game created as a practical demonstration of an accelerometer (inclination) sensor purchased by the Department of Robotics originally for use on mobile robots. The game is used as an advert and attraction on department shows.

Application Partlist

PC application Partlist

"Partlist" is an application for administration of individual components (profiles) of steel constructions - e.g. calculation of total weight and area, generation of partlist files in few languages and styles etc.

Web robot.vsb.cz

Web pages of the Department of Robotics

Web of the Department of Robotics serves as a department presentation for public and potential students, but it also fulfils a practical function for department students and employees. It is located on robot.vsb.cz.

I'm the author of the whole web, including the graphical design and PHP scripts of the content management system.
